The wood is also impervious to decay, insects, worms etc., and has a high resistance to fungal infection. Sawn and machined sections are produced at our mill in Winterswijk; Holland to customers requirements and range from large beams for bridge spans and rail track work, to handrails and infills for walkways and bridges. Meerdink are approved suppliers to the Rail Industry through the Link-Up qualification scheme.Ekki and Opepe timber sections for lock gates and marine work, along with Balau & Basralocus for piles and fenders have been produced in our Dutch Mill for over 20 years. Ekki is increasingly being requested by customers along with FSC timbers, Cumaru, Massaranduba, Angelim, Purple heart and Piquia. Our Sawmill and machining facilities enable us to offer all these timbers planed, grooved, notched and drilled to customers requirements. Prefabricated structures such as pontoons, landing stages, bridges & dowel-laminated beams can also be manufactured to customers drawings.
